Lead time and preconditions

What an integration project realistically requires.

An integration is rarely purely technical. These points determine in practice whether it works quickly and keeps working.

Lead time for a first integration
A defined integration between two systems with available APIs typically takes four to eight weeks, including testing and monitoring.
What drives the lead time
Mostly the quality of the source systems: API availability, master data consistency and how uniform project coding already is.
Systems without an open API
Older packages can still be unlocked via database connections, file exchange or scheduled exports. We choose the safest, most stable route per case.
Operations after go-live
Every integration runs under monitoring with alerting on failures or unusual volumes, so issues are caught before users notice them.
Handling vendor changes
API versions change. We isolate that dependency in the integration layer, so a vendor change costs one adjustment instead of a chain of repairs.
Data quality as a precondition
An integration amplifies existing errors. Cleaning and harmonising master data is therefore part of the engagement, not a separate surcharge.
